Greetings students! I realize that you have already left campus but I thought I should take a moment to introduce myself now that things have settled down. For those of you who haven't already met me, I'm Nurse Vivian Brown. Those of you who contracted plague, dysentery and/or staphylococcus probably already met me: I specialize in contagious diseases and the containment and treatment thereof. I've been asked to remain on for the second trimester and in addition to my duties assisting in the infirmary, I will be taking over the Microbiology course. For those of you who took the class previously, I hope to make the transition as smooth as possible.

On a more important note, I have something of a public service announcement to make. I can screen for any number of diseases and I realize that a number of you are returning from a lot of questionable time periods and may have engaged in some... shall we say questionable activities while you were there. If you have any reason to suspect that you contracted something exotic, even if you got it from doing something embarrassing, please see me and get screened! I'll be remaining on campus while I set up the lab and I promise that all tests are discrete and confidential. You can contact me via e-mail to make an appointment during the break, or just stop by the labs once classes start - I'm usually ~~here~~there.

Beyond that, I wish all of you a safe, fun and healthy break and will see you all when classes resume.
